Apple Cider Vinegar/Apple & Pear Cider

3rd May – Sunday – 1:00pm to 4:00pm – $35.00

Learn how to turn local apples (and pears) into cider at this community class with Megan Radaich from Food Preserving. We’ll also demonstrate making apple cider vinegar and share some favourite recipes for flavouring your cider and vinegar and making fruity vinegars too! Supplies will also be available to purchase at the class, and we will be organising a fruit bulk buy from a local orchard.

Mustard Master Class

24th May – Sunday – 1:00pm to 4:00pm – $35.00

Learn to make and preserve homemade mustard with Megan Radaich from Food Preserving. We’ll be exploring traditional whole seed mustards, beer & wine mustards, English mustards, fruit mustards and much more! The class fee also includes a Mustard Class Pack, with Megan’s Mustard Class Guide, recipes, a jar of mustard and jars. This class includes generous tastings – so bring your appetite! Supplies will also be available to purchase at the class.

Kefir Fermentation class

7th June – Sunday – 1:00pm to 4:00pm – $35.00

Milk kefir and water kefir are delicious probiotic drinks you can prepare easily at home. Megan Radaich from Food Preserving will teach you about the history of kefir grains, the health benefits of kefir and demonstrate how to culture and care for kefir. During the class you will be able to sample kefir, fizzy water kefir drinks, milk kefir fruit smoothies and taste kefir cheese (plus Megan will share some of her favourite kefir recipes too). The class fee also includes a kefir care pack – with Megan’s Kefir Class Guide, recipes and free kefir grains. Supplies will also be available to purchase at the class.

Soft Cheeses Class

21st June – Sunday – 12:00pm to 4:00pm – $55.00

Explore home cheese-making with Megan Radaich from Food Preserving whilst learning about making your own soft cheeses at home – including Yoghurt Cheese, Chevrè, Cream Cheese, Crème Fraiche, Fromage Blanc, Lemon Cheese, Neufchatel (American), Paneer Cheese, Quark and Queso Blanco, Bring your appetite as there are lots of tastings! The class fee also includes Megan’s Soft Cheese Class Guide, recipes, ingredient samples and equipment in a home cheese-making pack. Supplies will also be available to purchase at the class.

Kundalini Yoga is considered to be the most comprehensive of yogas, combining powerful breathing techniques, postures, mantras and meditation to help you unlock your true potential. It was introduced to the west by Yogi Bhajan.

“Kundalini” is the flow of energy and consciousness that exists within each of us and enables us to merge with or “yoke” the universal Self. Kundalini yoga is based on kriyas, or specially formulated sets of exercises. This allows you to target specific areas and work on exactly those aspects of yourself that need focus at the current time.

Practicing Kundalini yoga keeps the body in shape and trains the mind to be strong and flexible in the face of stress and change. It increases oxygen, boosts blood flow, balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and reduces stress-induced toxins such as adrenaline and cortisol.

The effect is a heightened self-awareness and vitality that allows you to harness mental and emotional energy. Individuals feel more in control of themselves, with enhanced peace of mind, concentration and a deeper inner calm and self-confidence. No matter what your age or physical capacity is, Kundalini yoga and meditation can have immediate benefits.

Kundalini Yoga is a holistic philosophy that brings practical benefits of rejuvenation and healing, awakening us to who we really are, spiritual beings having a human experience.

Bring along your Yoga mat, water bottle, correct money and comfortable clothing.  Please make sure you fill out the roll with your details so we are able to contact you if any changes need to be made.

SOAP MAKING

Luxurious cold pressed soaps
‘Palm Oil Free’

 

Beautiful cold pressed soap making class that will have you taking home approx. 25 soaps. Make a yearly supply of soaps in your favourite nurturing fragrances or make lovely gifts for family & friends.

Come join us in making beautiful cold pressed soaps. Our class is for beginners and previous soap makers. Natural soaps are very gentle and don’t wash off all your natural oils. So you are refreshed and clean but your skin remains lubricated, protected and happy.
Whereas commercial soaps are often harsher having been made with recycled, heat-damaged oils it strips all the natural oils away, leaving your skin dry, itchy and unprotected.
They are beautiful personalised hand-crafted gifts for family and friends, or sell them at the school fete as a fundraiser! The options are endless.
You will take home approximately 25 soaps for you to enjoy or give away as gifts.

*Note to students: You will need to bring along on the day 2/3 empty and clean 1 litre milk cartons, an old towel, disposable gloves, an apron or old shirt to protect your clothing, 2 clean buckets to mix your soap and a box to take home all your goodies. Please make sure your money for the kit is placed in an envelope with your name clearly marked on it for the tutor, thank you.
