Please note, no class on 18th November… Alyce from ‘Your Zone HealthFit’ will be using her vast experience to help guide people with mobility issues that arise in some exercise classes. Alyce has designed a program to suit the challenges that the more curvy body type experiences for these classes, focusing on posture, balance, stretching, breathing techniques, mindful thinking and overall encouragement for each other.
Join us in this safe, non-judgemental fitness program to help you to get more active.
Classes will revolve around a couple of things. Posture, balance, stretching, breathing techniques, mindful thinking and overall encouragement towards each other, and that ‘always can’ attitude.
Walking balance exercises will be a great big focus to help strengthen standing on one leg, to help prevention from falls and also aid in recovery quicker too. This can be helpful for getting in and out of cars, walking up and down footpaths and roads. Stairs too.
Wall exercises that can be replicated at home will be demonstrated and done so participants can safely practice some moves from class each day in their own environments. So, no fancy must have equipment. Any exercise I teach, I make sure it is done correctly before I say you can do this at home. When I know the technique is good, then I will happily tell them to go and do some in their own time.
Accessing movement and patterns is something I like to do and postural analysis if anyone wants that little bit of extra attention. This may help to ease possible aches and pains people could be having when they participate in the class. General strength of their body and how to balance their weight and stand as natural as the spine will allow, will be beneficial to all participant’s.
Something about Alyce:
Hello, I’ve been teaching Pilates for well over 10 years now and am 34 years myself. Many hours went in to becoming a Pilates instructor and I took it upon myself to deliver classes to the locals who gave me the idea to start up here as it helped strengthen the ladies at Mulberry tree holding bubs all day long. It was those lovelies back then who pushed me to take my own classes further. I grew my own business by adding more than just exercise and became a health coach and massage therapist to give the whole help not just some. I’ve had a few different locations over the years, in which many of my original clients followed me around and now it would be great to return to the area with another form of class. All of my classes focus on many aspects , dependent on the client’s needs of course and what they are wanting to achieve but I never relate my classes back to losing weight or do this to be skinny – it is not what I am about, I am about getting in your zone, your healthy fit.
But just being a Pilates instructor I felt I needed more exercise fundamentals behind me so also am qualified in stretch therapy, mini trampoline bounce classes, ballet bare workouts, boxing and Zenga (a form of yoga Pilates infusion.) in many classes I teach I use a lot of different styles when needed to give participants what they need.
