We had a great turn out despite the weather & including 2 new ladies. It didn’t take them long to get the hang of it. A huge number of cranes were made. Well done to everyone.

I didn’t learn to read till I was seven. The teacher would not let me turn the first page until I was word perfect, and it is very easy for a young child to get disheartened, so I learnt the page off by heart, word perfect I was able to turn the page I never looked back then I was away. If the teacher had stopped me and asked me what a word was I knew I would have been lost thank goodness she didn’t.

I must add it was many years ago now

We've had to do a few this time, as today is the last day of national volunteer week, but there's so many more we could thank, so this is for all of you - thank you for your dedication and service to the community!

To all the passionate people in Voluntary positions around the community, many of which are at the family centre too. As a not-for-profit, our centre has a voluntary committee and many volunteers, and we appreciate them so very much! Thank you

Lovely share by Nicki! Join her, your body will thank you for it 🙂Hi everyone. I'm Roleystone Family Centre's resident yoga teacher, and I would love to see our Yoga Community grow. So I asked my group today why people should come to my classes. They said people should come because I'm a good teacher (thanks Karen), and because everybody needs to move more.
The slow, mindful yoga I teach is a safe, accessible way for people to improve their strength, balance and mobility, while also helping to calm the mind and create resilience.

#5 Roleystone Men's Community Shed

Today we want to show gratitude to all the amazing volunteers from the Mens Shed - you've stayed open and in touch even though you've been through quite a transition and we look forward to seeing you in your new home base soon!
The seat out the front of the family centre was made by the mens shed and also the wonderful community share cart. Both of these are used daily and we very much appreciate your dedication to the mens shed projects - thank you 🙂

My mastery of languages goes as far as please, thankyou, hello, goodbye and a cup of tea/ coffee please in French, German and Italian 😁

I’d love to learn Italian - going back there next year and would be good to know a few phrases

I speak Indonesian and learnt it in school. One day I'd love to learn Maltese and Gaelic

We are so delighted to have the community garden as our neighbours! When we need a break in the office, we often walk through the garden to see what all the volunteers have been up to.
Years of dedicated service to everyone in the community, we thank you 🙂

I just saw this. I didn't even know there an avocado farm in Karagullen. It always amazes me that the Avocados cafe always has a sign up saying sying they don't have any avocados.
